They say that when one door closes another opens. On this day – one of each had happened.
What was interesting to notice was that the feelings of grief associated with the closed door were more thought consuming than those associated with the new(t) door standing open before me.
Perhaps this is because the well known path is familiar…and comfortable. The new one is a mystery. It takes time to reveal itself.
Don’t you wish – that maybe a few times in life – you could have the wisdom (and detachment) that one gains from hindsight – in the present moment?
